St Mary's
Café

TUESDAYS - 10:30am - 2pm
(
May - September)

The Café at St Mary's offers hospitality, fosters fellowship and warmly welcomes all who enter. It provides an opportunity to enjoy refreshments at affordable prices, or just to relax a while and listen to the piano inside the Church. On sunny days, visitors can sit outside in one of the best locations in Totnes to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by.

We have a children's corner inside, and dogs are welcome.

Our team of volunteers welcomes visitors from all over the UK and the world, offering a simple menu of fresh filter coffee, a selection of teas, toasted teacakes, homemade cakes and a traditional cheddar cheese ploughman’s lunch. All profit is donated to help with the work of the Friends of St. Mary's, Totnes.

Project News

Uplift.jpg

The Uplift project to transform the nave of St Mary's Totnes, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and numerous national and local funders, is moving into its second stage.  Having completed the main capital works, the building has now reopened to the public, with its completely re-ordered nave and state of the art heating system.  In the second stage, during 2026, we will be developing the visitor experience, with a new children’s area and heritage interpretation scheme and enabling further community use of the building.  There will be a full programme of concerts and heritage events commencing after Easter.

Find out about the Uplift! project here.
